Full Body Massage

A full body massage is just a way of saying that the therapist will massage your whole body during a massage session. This includes your back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, feet and hands (and for men, pecs). Most massages will be full-body massages.

During a full-body massage, a professional massage therapist works on your entire body, from your head to your toes. This usually done on a massage table in a private area where you can undress. If you’re modest, don’t worry — robes are typically provided before the service, and a blanket or towel covers your more private areas during the massage.

A full-body massage is can often be customized, which means that you can specify the areas of your body that require the most attention. A good massage therapist conducts a consultation before treatment, including a discussion about trouble spots, technique, lifestyle, and the preferred amount of pressure. It’s normal to be a bit sore after a full-body massage, but drinking plenty of water afterwards can help.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), some establishments put out signs that say “full body massage” as a way to indicate there will be some kind of sexual contact or “happy ending.” The ethics of this practice, of course, is debatable.
