What is the difference between sensual and erotic massage? A lot of people are confused about the subtle difference among the two.
Let us look at the meaning of the words themselves:
- “Erotic” – refers to sexual desire, arousal or emotion.
- “Sensual” – can be described as inducing pleasurable and/or erotic sensations; Of or pertaining to the physical senses.
In my experience these two words, especially locally in Kenya, are used as synonyms or near-synonyms while in reality they actually are not. It would pay dividends to learn the difference so that you can accurately describe what you want from your massage therapist.
A sensual massage is not sexual but it is intimate. This does not say much but the difference will become clear when we explore what an erotic massage is:
An erotic massage on the other hand is one which more sexual than otherwise. A massage which evokes sexual desire and which may involve sexual acts. The so-called “happy ending” massages and their variants fall into this category.
